A quick Internet search can reveal a lot of resources available to military servicemembers transitioning to civilian careers. It’s easy to become overwhelmed.

To avoid this, focus on the outcome of your self assessment. If you enjoy working with people, you probably wouldn’t want to spend your day analyzing data. If you enjoy the structure of the military, you might want a job with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
